The Lord's Day Brought Rest

I got to go to church and when I returned we visited, ate and CRASHED--All Four of Us! We all got naps and took full advantage of the tiring work that is admiring "King Arthur."

Arthur when he was minutes old. These photos were taken on Emily's camera.

They were cleaning him up and getting him ready to go meet his family waiting patiently in the waiting room.

Here is a photo of his face today for you to see how he is changing.

.
Got to love that cute new outfit.

My friend and next-door neighbor, Jake, finally got to hold Arthur.

A Rare Occurrence: Arthur's eyes open.

Arthur's First Day At Home

"Pop" Hilleke gets to calm down Arthur.

"Aunt Annie" keeping Arthur quiet.

Great-Grandparents Dick & JoAnne Ayres.

Rachel Pullig, friend of Sarah's and Tech peer of Jarrod's, dropped by and held Arthur.

I got to feed him a bottle for the first time. Arthur's mom has been the only that could feed him. I was delighted.

My Mom has a photo of me on my dad's chest. This is for "Tootsie."

Sarah came out to visit for a bit. She rests, feeds, rest, and then feeds. She is in great spirits.

We are both delighted. No matter how much sleep we have lost these last few days, we wouldn't trade it for the world. I am absolutely excited. It is just an amazing time.

Posing for one more photo before Arthur got to venture out of the hospital.

We are safely at home now. Arthur is doing well. Mom is improving. Arthur is healthy and "batting a thousand" on all of his tests so far. Too tired for video. I'll get around to it soon. I'll just let the anticipation build.

Some Photos of Thursday

Thursday was a good day. Arthur got to meet a good bit of his family for the first time. Hope you eat this up like we do. What a blessing this little guy is!

Ted, Arthur's paternal grandfather, holding him for the first time after being born.

A closeup picture of Arthur's face. You can see he is getting more color and really looks good.

One of Arthur's maternal great-grandmothers, Eleanor "Ele" Hilleke seeing her 8th great-grandchild.

"Grandma Ele" was accompanied by her daughter Wendy and her daughter , Charity. "Aunt Wendy" couldn't pass up the chance to hold her new grand-nephew.

Uncle Jordan got to finally meet his new nephew.

Grand-Uncle Rodger drove up from Alexandria to visit with us and meet Arthur this evening.

I still plan on uploading some video of the happenings, but it takes longer to do. I will get to it. We are probably going home tomorrow afternoon-evening sometime.

UPDATE: Sarah has had some pain from her gallbladder. Continue to pray that she would rest and find some relief there.

Welcome Arthur Andrew Richey

Sarah and I are happy to announce that our son, Arthur Andrew Richey was born at St. Francis Medical Center on April 25, 2007 at 6:37pm CST. He weighed 7.5 lbs.

This photo was taken as Arthur was being introduced to the Grandparents।

Sarah did an amazing job. She and the baby are recovering from a long Wednesday.

Rachel Huber a member of our church,is quickly developing reputation as the AAPC Labor/Newborn Nurse. Rachel was a great comfort to Sarah and to me.
